Cape Verde announces plans to expand Port Capabilities (Aug 2010) Property Investors in Cape Verde will be boosted by news that refurbishment and expansion work to its Porto Novo Port is scheduled to start next May.
Macauhub reports that the expansion is set to completed in two stages, the first of which includes extendthe the dock by 40 metres, building a new passenger terminal along with a car park and constructing other peripheral buildings.
Secondary plans have been outlined to widen the dock by a further 130 metres, to construct a road to link the port to the city of Porto Novo and introduce a fishing dock and numerous other lifestyle features.
